This isn&#8217;t surprising, according to Maria Dent, VP of Operations at LocalGiftCards.com. \u201cOutside of the holiday gift card rush, women generally have more gift-giving events than men do\u2014baby and bridal showers, hostess gifts, birthdays, etc.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBut,\u201d she continues, \u201cwhen we looked at who was placing orders with us at the last minute, we were surprised.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It turns out, when it comes to under-the-wire shopping for major holidays, men and women procrastinate equally. On the day before and the day of major holidays last year, men were responsible for buying 49% of last-minute gifts. That&#8217;s right, the majority of last-minute gift-buyers are women, not men. So, this Valentine&#8217;s Day, don&#8217;t jump to any conclusions.
